Deer Creek and Mt. Tabor are small churches, but we have big hearts, and we are ministering more with the community each year!
If you are interested in a ministry and want to help get it started, we are open to ideas!

Day Shelter Feeding Ministry
Mt. Tabor serves lunch the third Friday of each month
Deer Creek serves lunch the fourth Monday of each month

New Hope Christian Fellowship United Methodist Church in Edgewood, Maryland, has a Day Shelter in which both Deer Creek and Mt. Tabor serve once a month in a rotation with other churches.

Knit and Crochet Ministry:

Meets every second and fourth Friday at 7pm at Mt. Tabor

We started a knit and crochet ministry to make prayer shawls for people connected to our community. When they are in the hospital, feeling lonely, or just cold, we seek to help them feel the prayers of our churches enveloping them! We also make scarves and hats in the winter months for our friends at the New Hope Christian Fellowship United Methodist Church.

You do not need to have any knitting experience--- we will teach! And if Pastor Shannon can learn, anyone can!

There are many organizations we support throughout the year through special offerings, food drives, and adopting families. Two of the main organizations we support are Mason Dixon Community Services and the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
